Hazrat-e Rasool General Hospital

Hazrat-e Rasool General Hospital was dedicated by Mehdi Batmanglij in1954, and construction of the complex with the name Aeme Masumin started in 1967. The construction of the second building was in 1979 with the name Hazrat-e Amir Al Momenin.

Staff from the orthopedics, surgery, obstetrics, and neurosurgery departments of Darbar Hospital was transferred. In 1992, with the construction of the third and fourth buildings (Hazrat-e Seyed Al Shohada and Hazrat-e Mohammad, respectively), this center was officially opened with the name Hazrat-e Rasool Training and Research Complex and was supported by Iran University of Medical Sciences (IUMS).

With the third most frequent ear surgery procedures in the world and the biggest specialty and sub-specialty training hospital in western Tehran, this hospital also has sub-specialty services related to the cochlea, Parkinson’s, and colorectal surgery.

Moreover, Hazrat-e Rasool, the first specialized emergency hospital of the country, is responsible for training students of emergency medicine. It also accepts the largest number ofaccident victims from the emergency number 115. Just as its training and research departments, the Hospital itself is a great promise for future progress in the field of ophthalmology.
